A horse named hope

I've been through the desert on a horse named hope

Searching for a way to cut my rope

A knife sharp enough to cut my ties

A blade solid enough to cut through the lies

You know why

I've been through the desert on a horse named hope

Searching for a hidden stash of pure dope

So I could get high enough to leave the ground

And hear all the heavenly sounds

Finally escaping the hounds

I've been through the desert on a horse named hope

Fleeing the saints and the pope

Because I hate the answers they spread

Because we must find eternity before we end up dead

Not the other way around

I've been through the desert on a horse named hope

Trying to escape an elite killer's scope

He goes by the name of sorrow

And his bullets make you forget your tomorrows

Sad sniper

I've been through the desert on a horse named hope

Trying to conquer each and every sand slope

Even if it means dying on a dune

I'll let the wind sing me one last tune

Soon
